Here are some highlights of what we heard through the King Street Survey

Overall

At the direction of Council, a public survey was conducted on the Let’s Talk Brock platform with a total of 397 visitors to the site. Of these 397 there were 271 contributions from 232 contributors to the survey.

The results of the are below:

The majority of respondents selected the 300m running track with red clay surface as the preferred choice for this project.

The resolution adopted by the Committee of the Whole is as follows:

Be It Resolved That Report 2024-PRF-008, King Street Park be received; and

That the 300m running track with red clay surface proceed to be installed, and

That the soccer pitch installation be included in the project; and

That staff be directed to approach RK & Associates to manage this project on behalf of Brock Township and to oversee the construction and completion of the project.

What’s Next

Township staff will work with the RK & Associates to finalize the redesign of the King Street Park to include a 300-metre track with clay surface and soccer pitch to present to Council for review.
