In celebration of their 75th anniversary, The Beaverton Lions Club have proposed number of community projects, one of which is a new track and soccer pitch for the King Street Park in Beaverton.

Township staff have been working with a design firm who specializes in track design and have been provided with the following 7 proposals.

Township staff are currently preparing a report to be brought before Council at a future meeting. Please check back for further updates.

Concept 1A and 1B designs include the following:

Concept 1A

  • 300m, four lane track with 100m sprint section.
  • Half size soccer pitch inside track area.
  • Tennis courts to remain in place.
  • Playground not included in project but is projected to be replaced in 2024, based on availability of equipment.
  • Asphalt for track surface

Concept 1B

  • 300m, four lane track with 100m sprint section.
  • Half size soccer pitch inside track area.
  • Tennis courts to remain in place.
  • Playground not included in project but is projected to be replaced in 2024, based on availability of equipment.
  • Red aggregate for track surface
